Well we are nearly home!!!!  Movers came Tuesday and got everything wrapped up, put in boxes, and loaded on the truck in 5 1/2 hours.  They were fast.  On a few things I was like oooooo be EASY, but I think everything went good!  They left behind trash, tape, and bottle water (that we provided for them) and my favorite.... cigarette butts in our yard that we had to pick up!!  EW, but they are gone our stuff is gone and we should be out of this house by morning.  The Inspector comes in the morning.  Cody will be here to get that done and I have to walk Chloe to the vet's office to get her paperwork done.  We cleaned ALLLLL day today and got this house spectacular looking.  I'm pretty sure that it is  A LOT cleaner then when we moved in.  Ha, we just want to pass inspection and be out of here! :)  We will be in the hotel from tomorrow until we fly out on Monday!!!  It has definitely been challenging not having our Jeep, but we are making things work.  We ended up ordering in tonight because it was raining and we didn't feel like walking in the rain to go get supper.  Hoping and praying that it doesn't rain tomorrow (we have lots of walking to do).  Cody has all of the signatures, to clear, except for one and that is housing which he will get tomorrow!! WOOHOO.  Also he is FINALLY going to get his Unit colors, End of Service award, and his evaluation from the commander tomorrow, so that is great!  We are exhausted and so ready to be home and get to see everyone.  Poor Chloe has been roughing it lately, no big puffy pillow with a comforter on top of that to lay on.  She is NOT happy....lol.  We will see you all very soon :):):):):)

Well we had our last Hail and Farewell tonight....... what a bust!!!  A Hail and Farewell is a gathering that the officers and higher enlisted get together to welcome new people and tell people goodbye.  We have been in this Unit/Squadron for over 3 years now. So Cody had his speech ready and we were prepared and they get to the farewells and didn't call our names and went on with everything.. so we were really mad, especially me (Cody can't really be upset because of the higher ranked officers being there). Cody has bent over backward and worked day after day after day and nights and they forget us!!! So we told some people and then they told the SCO (the commander over the squadron) and they finally decided to call us up there.  Then before they called us up there (remind you again 3 years in this place) they came and asked one of our friends what my name was and then someone else came over and asked Cody to make sure that was my name..... UGH.  So anyways over all we felt not special AT ALL.  Then the commander; a Colonel and a Major, did come over and apologize so that was a little nice but still we are both upset about it.  Anyways we are even more glad that we are leaving this place and Unit.  So much for appreciation.  We did have a few of our friends that told us how much they enjoyed knowing us, so that is good.  Cody had his last day of work today to so that was good.  He will start clearing (a cheklist to be able to leave) on Monday so that will be exciting.  Looking forward to the weekend and spending time with people who actually care about us :) 

My day today started out in a panic.  I got up to go to the bathroom this morning and all the sudden I felt something on my back so I look and it's a spider!!!!!!  I'm still basically asleep at this point so I just started panicking. I hit the spider off of me and just started crying and screaming at Cody.  He was still asleep of course so he was trying to process what in the world was going on.  I'm just yelling (while crying) there is a spider, it was on me, the web, I can't find him, where did it go... CODY... So once I finally woke up fully and realized that I didn't get bit and the spider was gone I calmed down and then we both started laughing!! 

So after all that happened we got up and went for a run.  I beat my time by 20 seconds!  I thought I was going really slow but then I was super excited about my time.  Chloe has been going with us when we run, but I think she might not go with us anymore.  She just isn't made for running long distances.  So now she is sleeping and probably will the rest of the day.  We had a few errands to do, so we got them done and came back (it was between breakfast and lunch time) and so we fixed brunch together.  It was so much fun.  Put on the music and just enjoyed our time together. 

Yesterday the pre move inspector came to the house to look at our things.  It really feels real now that we are coming home!  I almost feel like it's vacation but then the movers are coming so I don't really know what to feel.  Either way I'm excited and we are both looking forward to getting back home.  Chloe is really excited to see all the family and get back to her pastures that she can run around in.  :) 

Today was the most beautiful day!!!! The sun was out and I was able to go shopping with a good friend and also got some spring cleaning done! I got our outdoor storage cleaned out and that is just one more step closer to moving :). We got our tickets to fly home, we will be in Tulsa April 16th @ 1045 at night. We had to take a later flight but we are just ready to be there. We ship our Jeep April 5th and the movers come on April 10th and 11th.

I went for a run with Chloe today. She's not the best running partner because she stops to smell EVERYTHING. She does pretty good though.

Cody has been out in the field this week, but he is still coming home on time which is so nice! He only has 4 1/2 weeks left of work!! Woohoo. We are both really excited!!!!

It's snowing again today.  It's the beautiful kind of snow to where it almost look like it's falling in slow motion.  Cody had a class he got to go to this week that is helping him figure out how to translate Military talk to Civilian talk... hahaha.  He thinks that everyone knows what he's talking about and I hear it all the time and barely know what he is talking about.  He seemed so surprised... hehe. He seems to be really excited about going back and getting a job.  I'm excited but nervous...

Chloe has been getting extra spoiled lately because we are softies.  She seems to be in the bed even more and more.  We read scripture every night and so she comes up there and reads with us (since she's part of the family).  Then she has to go to her bed, which is a really fluffy dog bed with a really fluffy comforter on top and her dad tucks her in the comforter...it's so funny.  She just has her little nose sticking out.  Then as soon as Cody goes to work she gets up in the bed with me.  Lately she doesn't just get up there in Cody's spot and sleeps.  It's more like I can't roll over without having to lift her up and move her.  So I think tonight we are going to start making her stay in her bed.  It's so innocent because she doesn't "sleep" in the bed but it's beginning to get annoying. 

I've been doing pretty good.  Just going with the flow trying not to freak out about having no control.  I'm a planner and I have no plans.......... UGH.  :)  It's okay though.  At least we will be home with family and that is what we have been looking forward to :) woohoo!

It's been a good week so far!  We've been a little busy with figuring out things and going through our options for once we get back home!  I think we have some promising plans now, which is so much less stressful.  It makes coming home that much more exciting.  We are having a yard sale this weekend so I've been going through and getting things organized, cleaned up, priced and ready to go to new homes.  Chloe has been going a little crazy since I'm moving things around and things are a bit different.  She's handled it pretty well, just a lot more clingy.  We've also made some decisions that have made life much better for us and it's been so great! 

We've got snow covered grounds now.  It snowed last week and it's been in the teens ever since so it's basically all frozen snow and ice.  The wind has been blowing so much (we never have wind here) and is destroying things.  We have a wooden fence type thing around our car port and it's been so cold that the wood is frozen and then the wind comes and practically broke one of the main posts of the fence.  It looks like someone took a chainsaw to it... yikes.

Cody's work schedule has been so much better.  He gets his lunch hour and he get home at a good time.  We were talking today about how it's been 1 year since he came home for his R&R during deployment.  I can not believe how fast that time has gone.  It's been over 8 months since he has been back from Afghanistan.  It feels just like a few months ago he got back.  So crazy.  We are also getting so close to coming home.  Cody will start clearing next month, which means he will be going to all the organizations to get scheduled for our car to be shipped, movers to be scheduled, get health records and things like that.  It seems so crazy it's that time already but I'm so happy I could literally cry!  We are both so ready to be back with our families!

So I've been informed that I hadn't blogged in a while ;) .... hehe.  I think life just gets too crazy.  So updates since last blog, we had a great Christmas.  We really didn't do much, which was the plan.  We went to the services at church and then we came home cooked, and we got to skype with all our families and our best friends Ben and Sophie (and our Goddaughter Paityn).  We spoiled each other with gifts this year, since it was our last year having money...lol  We also didn't do much for New Years.  We watched a movie and struggled to stay awake, then we got to hear the fireworks going off.  It was so fun, we started yelling happy New Years.  So far this year we have had pretty good luck.  One of my closest friends who left is now back, she got back today.  We also got some of the best news today.  Cody had turned in his packet for us getting out of the Army back in September, we have been waiting for 6 months now and he finally got news today that they have been approved !!!  We have a copy of the packet and everything is good to go. Now Cody just needs to get his actual orders to get out, which the only thing that was holding that up was the packet getting approved :) WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!  We've been super blessed!  We now have 96 days before we come home!! :)
