Today has been good! I woke up by a phone call from Cody. That just made my entire day great! He has already made it back to KAF, thats in Afghanistan. He thought he would be in Kuwait for a few days but they had a flight right away. But he should be at KAF for a couple days now and he gets to call so that helps so much! I got groceries today and found two new dresses that are just so cute. Bought both. :) Got home and was unloading my groceries and realized that the bagger put my raw chicken in with my loaf of bread!!! UGH. I only had small change to give him and then I felt bad but now I don't! I shouldn't have tipped him at all! Anyways.. I'm not letting that ruin my day, ha. I am going to get rid of a lot of our boxes today. We have our outside storage basically crammed full of boxes. Boxes for my dishes and plastic ware and just a lot of things that we REALLY don't need them for. I would like to keep them but we need that storage space for actual storage. So I'm saying goodbye to them today. I just hope I don't regret getting rid of them, haha. I have to keep the one for the TV because Army won't ship it if we don't have the box. But other than that I think I'm getting rid of everything else, but not the boxes I can use to ship Cody stuff. Still have so so much cleaning to do. I'm getting laundry done today, I have 3 loads of dark clothes alone and then the other colors, whites, and towels. I'll be busy though and I'm glad for that! Really miss Cody but know it won't be much longer!

Just took Cody to the airport. Wasn't as hard as the first time but it's still never easy saying goodbye. Now I'm counting down until homecoming. Not to long only about 10 weeks. We got ready this morning, he finished packing. I cooked cinnamon rolls for him and then we headed out. Chloe went with us. It was great having her there. It was sad seeing Cody leave and then even more sad seeing Chloe look out the window and whining that he was walking away. UGH. But it's done and over with now and we can move on to looking forward to him coming home for good and knowing this was the last time I'd have to say goodbye to him going into a combat zone. Thank God for that! Now it should be easy breezy, just as long as he's safe. I couldn't have asked for a better r&r though, it was amazing. He is amazing! I'm so thankful for him! Okay 10 weeks!

Our r&r has been wonderful so far. It's flying by so fast, he only has 5 days left here. I'm sad but at the same time ready for him to get back because the sooner he gets back to AFG the sooner he will be coming back home for good. He has gotten to get so much rest and just have down time. He really needed that. He has been working NON STOP for 8 months so it was time for a few days of nothing. We had a really good time in Edelweiss. We did NOTHING. haha. It was fun though just spending time together. Chloe is really really enjoying her daddy being home. She has totally forgotten about me though, ha.

Well I'm sure most of you know but Cody is home! Today was his second day here! It's been so great! We really haven't been doing much of anything, but it's nice!

Just 10 days now! This next week I'll be getting the house cleaned, making sure Cody has freshly washed clothes to wear and a fridge full of goodies! I never thought this day would make it here. It felt like it was FOREVER away and now just 10 days. I'm still in a little denial that he will be here but super duper excited for him to be home! Chloe used to always go to her couch and look out the window waiting on her dad to come home from work when he called. Today the phone has rang a lot and so she went back to that ... it was cute but sad. She grabbed her little moose and ran to the front room got on her couch and waited with her toy. So of course daddy wasn't coming so I went in and laid with her for a little bit and then she realized no dad and then we played and it was better. I can't even imagine how these families do it with children. I would HATE knowing that my kids were going through the pain that us wives and family have gone through of missing someone. It's hard. Not much longer though and this will all be over. There have been rumors going around of them coming home early and then it was announced at a meeting by the Regimental commander(the guy in charge). I'm excited to talk to Cody about it and get the words from him. With this Cody will only have to go back to Afghanistan for about 60 days after his r&r.. so that is wonderful! Ready for that day to come!

Tried to wash the cars today, the salt they treat the roads with is all over them and that's bad for the paint and metal... so got everything ready went out and as soon as the water hit the jeep it froze...LOL So needless to say it's a little chilly to wash the cars...hahaha. Never had that happen before.

I'm very anxious today. I am getting to the point where I just wish Cody was here. I'm so looking forward to him being here but time is just standing still, just because I'm excited for the 8th of Feb to get here. Chloe is doing MUCH better. She hasn't gone to the bathroom in the house all week so that is wonderful! I have gotten all the work around the house done, I need to clean the house upstairs and then next week I will buy groceries for him and then he will be on his way! So really it's nothing compared to how long I've waited, I just need to be patient. I've started packing some things for our trip to Garmish. That will be so great, we are both looking forward to that!!! :)

Cody got to call last night! It was just amazing being able to talk to him on the phone! He will be headed this way in about 18 days now for his r&r! I'm so excited for him! He is so busy all the time and he has been working non stop not one day off since June 11, 2010... it will be 8 months of straight work no days off. I can't even imagine how exhausted he must be. He seems like he handles it so well. I'm probably just going to loose it when I pick him up from the airport!!! Just thinking about it I go crazy... wish someone could record us..lol that would be funny! He told me last night, after I asked if he got to shower again lately, I guess they have a schedule now of who can shower on what day... haha. Sunday's are Cody's day to shower. So if he misses on Sunday he won't get to shower again for another week. They only have a small amount of water supply and that is how they make sure they don't run out..lol Just cracks me up. He is doing good and the earthquake in Pakistan didn't hurt any of the soldiers. Cody said that some of the guys that were in their trucks could feel it but not bad where they were. I didn't even know about the earthquake until Cody told me. I'm so disconnected here. Hope everyone is doing well.. we miss you and will be seeing you earlier than we thought! :)
