Today was the most beautiful day!!!! The sun was out and I was able to go shopping with a good friend and also got some spring cleaning done! I got our outdoor storage cleaned out and that is just one more step closer to moving :). We got our tickets to fly home, we will be in Tulsa April 16th @ 1045 at night. We had to take a later flight but we are just ready to be there. We ship our Jeep April 5th and the movers come on April 10th and 11th.

I went for a run with Chloe today. She's not the best running partner because she stops to smell EVERYTHING. She does pretty good though.

Cody has been out in the field this week, but he is still coming home on time which is so nice! He only has 4 1/2 weeks left of work!! Woohoo. We are both really excited!!!!

It's snowing again today.  It's the beautiful kind of snow to where it almost look like it's falling in slow motion.  Cody had a class he got to go to this week that is helping him figure out how to translate Military talk to Civilian talk... hahaha.  He thinks that everyone knows what he's talking about and I hear it all the time and barely know what he is talking about.  He seemed so surprised... hehe. He seems to be really excited about going back and getting a job.  I'm excited but nervous...

Chloe has been getting extra spoiled lately because we are softies.  She seems to be in the bed even more and more.  We read scripture every night and so she comes up there and reads with us (since she's part of the family).  Then she has to go to her bed, which is a really fluffy dog bed with a really fluffy comforter on top and her dad tucks her in the comforter...it's so funny.  She just has her little nose sticking out.  Then as soon as Cody goes to work she gets up in the bed with me.  Lately she doesn't just get up there in Cody's spot and sleeps.  It's more like I can't roll over without having to lift her up and move her.  So I think tonight we are going to start making her stay in her bed.  It's so innocent because she doesn't "sleep" in the bed but it's beginning to get annoying. 

I've been doing pretty good.  Just going with the flow trying not to freak out about having no control.  I'm a planner and I have no plans.......... UGH.  :)  It's okay though.  At least we will be home with family and that is what we have been looking forward to :) woohoo!

It's been a good week so far!  We've been a little busy with figuring out things and going through our options for once we get back home!  I think we have some promising plans now, which is so much less stressful.  It makes coming home that much more exciting.  We are having a yard sale this weekend so I've been going through and getting things organized, cleaned up, priced and ready to go to new homes.  Chloe has been going a little crazy since I'm moving things around and things are a bit different.  She's handled it pretty well, just a lot more clingy.  We've also made some decisions that have made life much better for us and it's been so great! 

We've got snow covered grounds now.  It snowed last week and it's been in the teens ever since so it's basically all frozen snow and ice.  The wind has been blowing so much (we never have wind here) and is destroying things.  We have a wooden fence type thing around our car port and it's been so cold that the wood is frozen and then the wind comes and practically broke one of the main posts of the fence.  It looks like someone took a chainsaw to it... yikes.

Cody's work schedule has been so much better.  He gets his lunch hour and he get home at a good time.  We were talking today about how it's been 1 year since he came home for his R&R during deployment.  I can not believe how fast that time has gone.  It's been over 8 months since he has been back from Afghanistan.  It feels just like a few months ago he got back.  So crazy.  We are also getting so close to coming home.  Cody will start clearing next month, which means he will be going to all the organizations to get scheduled for our car to be shipped, movers to be scheduled, get health records and things like that.  It seems so crazy it's that time already but I'm so happy I could literally cry!  We are both so ready to be back with our families!

So I've been informed that I hadn't blogged in a while ;) .... hehe.  I think life just gets too crazy.  So updates since last blog, we had a great Christmas.  We really didn't do much, which was the plan.  We went to the services at church and then we came home cooked, and we got to skype with all our families and our best friends Ben and Sophie (and our Goddaughter Paityn).  We spoiled each other with gifts this year, since it was our last year having money...lol  We also didn't do much for New Years.  We watched a movie and struggled to stay awake, then we got to hear the fireworks going off.  It was so fun, we started yelling happy New Years.  So far this year we have had pretty good luck.  One of my closest friends who left is now back, she got back today.  We also got some of the best news today.  Cody had turned in his packet for us getting out of the Army back in September, we have been waiting for 6 months now and he finally got news today that they have been approved !!!  We have a copy of the packet and everything is good to go. Now Cody just needs to get his actual orders to get out, which the only thing that was holding that up was the packet getting approved :) WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!  We've been super blessed!  We now have 96 days before we come home!! :)

Well this week can just go in the toilet!  The Army just makes me more mad every day!  I swear they take and take and take and just do not care!  Cody works his tail off and all he wants is to come home, not even on time but at least by 6 (he goes in at 530am so good grief)  He has been out in the field all week, got to come home and sleep and then back out early each morning.  So of course you would figure he would get off work on time today... NOPE.  He gets to stay at work because his boss decides that because his life is miserable he wants everyone else to suffer!  Thank God we only have 130 days left and Cody should only have about another month left in this company!  It just begins to be overwhelming and hard to deal with.  Please just pray I'll make it through these next 130 days! 

We had a really good Thanksgiving this year!  It was just us and our friends Ben and Sophie and their little girl and it was perfect!  Us girls cooked and the boys slept.  The food turned out SOO good and the turkey was moist.  It was the first time ever that any of us had cooked a turkey so we were pretty concerned about it coming out okay.  We had turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, cheesy broccoli casserole, deviled eggs, stuffing, rolls, and pie.  We all ate too much and Cody and I just finished off the leftovers. So we are officially turkeyed out!  We enjoyed Thanksgiving but I'm so much more excited for Christmas!  We decorated the house today with all our Christmas decor!  I love it.  It's just so homey and warm and beautiful!  I'm so so so so so grateful to have Cody here this year for the Holidays!  I've already got his gifts bought, wrapped, and now they are under the tree.  Now just to get Chloe's things.....  Chloe freaks out when we do anything different in the house.  She finally gave up on fidgeting and laid on the couch.  She is so funny.  

Update from my last blog.  My Grandma McClellan past away last night.  I got little information but what I got I was basically waiting for a call to say it happened.  I had to call my mom to get the information but she did pass away.  Please keep my parents and the family in your prayers.
