Well I can tell you that deployment is not fun, but so far it is doable. There are pro's and con's. Mostly the pro's are that there is less laundry, cooking, and cleaning. But the con side to that is there is less work to do around the house so I get bored. Pro, I get the TV by myself. Con, I laugh at stupid stuff and Cody's not here to laugh with me. It's weird because I always complain about Cody watching Family guys and the Simpson's every day at 6 and 630 but now I find myself watching them and 6 and 630. I did get an e-mail from him, yesterday, saying he made it to his destination safely and that everything is fine. No news today yet, but I figured it would be a few days anyways. I miss him LOTS!

I got my hair done today, I got it cut and highlighted. I love the cut and I think I love the highlights but it will take some time to get used to it. I feel like a new woman tho... haha. It felt so good to get my hair done. Relaxing!

It's official!

Well the deployment has happened and I'm still surviving. I know it is all because God has created me in a special way to make it through this. Right now it feels like Cody is just at work all day and night. It hasn't really sat in that he is not coming back for a LONG time. I have been staying busy and staying positive. I have gotten to talk to Cody both days he has been gone. I should get to talk to him for a couple more days... he is in an in between spot that has internet right now.... and then he will be flying to where he will be for the deployment. I probably won't get to hear from him much after that, maybe one a week or every two weeks. He is doing good and seems happy. He really didn't want to leave but I know and he knows he is doing a GREAT thing for our country and it's people. He makes me proud! I love him so dang much!!!!

Life gets back to kinda normal tomorrow. Routine's will get back into play and walks will start back up and I think that will be good for me and Chloe. I have the shopping bug so I may have to do a little shopping sometime this week ;)

Beautiful weather/Sad Days!

This week has been wonderful! The weather has been great and the sun is letting us know it is still around. Some days during the winter I was wondering if the sun still existed, and now I know! :) My friend Sophie and I went on a long walk this morning, we went early and the sun was still beating down on us. I loved it. We took both dogs, hers and mine. And of course she had her precious baby Paityn! We just enjoyed the day!

I came home and knew I had to do homework and I wouldn't be able to be outside. So I opened all the windows and both doors so it kind of feels like I'm outside. I got my homework done and I'm thinking about going and checking the mail. I got an e-mail saying we have a package and I'm pretty sure that it is Cody's stuff he ordered 2 months ago. I really hope it is because he needs that for deployment. O by the way, he is supposed to leave on Friday :( :(. I have to take him in at 12 midnight so it will be a crazy day. I think reality is starting to hit me and I feel like it is going to take me down. I just keep telling myself that spouses have done this many years before me and there are many spouses going through this with me. I know it is possible but I'm not liking it at all!

We are still playing the waiting game with the Army! They don't know when they want to send the guys! I'm thankful for more time but at the same time it makes it worse because we know it's coming and we both just want it to happen now! Cody finally packed today so Chloe is even more weird than before. :( Poor baby! She LOVES her daddy! The weekend had had BEAUTIFUL weather so we have been blessed. We haven't been up to too much, just hanging out with each other as much as possible. It's been really nice!

I have passed my accounting class, I got a 77.3 which I was hoping for an 80 but that didn't happen. I passed the class so that is all I was REALLY concerned about. I also did good in my Algebra class so those both are behind me now, thank goodness. Now I'm in business information systems, and nutrition. I love the nutrition class, so interesting! The business one isn't so interesting but I don't think it's going to be hard so I'm okay with that. This business degree was a crazy idea, I should have gone with something else! O well, I only have 3 classes after these two and I'll be done in November! WOO-HOO!

The dreaded day is getting closer and closer! I've been physically sick from it, I just want it to come and be done with so we can start the count down to the return!

I'm so off schedule and my routine with Cody being off work for 2 weeks. It was great but I'm so behind on housework. My neighbor came by today and I was so embarrassed about the house, but she understand... she has 2 kids and a hubby on leave.... we just laughed it off. So then Cody and I straightened up a little bit just in case someone else came by... haha! It is mostly just stuff from Chloe and blankets on the couch and random stuff like that. It's clean now thought :) hehe. I think I'm sort of a clean freak, which I didn't realize until lately. When it's just me I don't notice it but I found myself picking up random things when we have company. I don't want to be one of those people that comes and takes someones glass before they are even done with it.. haha that would be kind of funny though. Cody just puts up with it, but I think it drives him a little nutty. I just can't stand clutter and ickyness all over the house! Writing about it is making me have the urge to go clean... I am totally crazy now!

Okay so there is a lot to BLOG about! We had a WONDERFUL time with our family!!! Lana, Dwayne, Travis, and Chrissy and us had a really good week. Travis almost tooted us out of the house, he is stinky... haha! Chloe LOVED having them all here. They got here on Sunday and they rested just a bit, then we went to the Volksfest in Vilseck. It was okay, but it was the last day so I think the German's had given up...haha. Monday we went to Pottenstein, that was a lot of fun. We got to see the Devil's Cave and rode a little roller coaster thing. Lana and Dwayne chickened out on the roller coaster I think.. hehe ;) Wednesday we slept in and had a slow day, that afternoon we went to the concentration camp Flassenburg. The weather was awful so we didn't last long there. Thursday we went to Munich, we visited the zoo which was so much fun. I think me and Chrissy had the best time there. We also attempted to go to the hofbrauhouse, which is a world famous brewery(I think). There were SO many people, Cody was driving in the bicycle lane...haha so funny. Needless to say, we gave up and went home. O I forgot to, on the way to Munich we had to take a detour off the autobahn, it took an extra hour to get there. It was an interesting day, but lots of fun. I was cranky at Cody because he drives crazy. Chrissy and I were in the Mazda following them! OMG, awful... haha. Friday we went to Amberg and shopped and just looked at the town. We grilled burgers and had broccoli cheese casserole. Yummo! Then the dreaded day came... they had to leave. Cody and I were really bummed, we enjoyed them being here! We miss them already!

So our Anniversary was yesterday. Cody is such a sweet hubby. We were totally distracted by getting ready for the fam to come and cleaning and all that jazz we didn't even think about getting gifts for each other. So we just decided last minute to go to Ramstein(where Chilli's is) and spend the night. We both went shopping and that was our gifts to each other. I love that, hehe! I think he is worried about me when he leaves because he bought me jumper cables.. so cute!! I love him so much! Hopefully my blogs will stay happy, but I'm sure for the first couple weeks after he leaves I'll have to vent so just bare with me :)!

So the trip for Lana, Dwayne, Travis, and Chrissy has started off awful. They got to Germany and went to get their luggage and everyone's luggage had been lost!!! EVERYONE'S OMG! Hopefully the airline will find it quickly! They are going to deliver it to the house, which is wonderful, we won't have to drive back to the airport. I have some hope though because my friend Karyn's mom, the airline lost her luggage and she got it the next day. So now I guess the waiting game begins. They are waiting for luggage and I'm waiting for them to get to the house. Cody went to pick them up and I stayed home so we wouldn't have to drive both cars to the airport. Can't wait till they get here!!!!!
