O the fun of being sick!  blah.  It's been a roller coaster these past few weeks.  I have a friend that is going through something that no one could ever prepare for or even fathom that it could happen.  So my friend stayed with Cody and I for a few weeks.  She left today and flew home to her family.  So the house is back to "normal" but my sickness is still hanging on.  It's been 6 days now and it's getting old.  I'm more just extremely tired and congested.  Cody has been doing good and so far hasn't gotten sick so that is awesome!  Sickness is going around here and I'm hoping that he steers clear.  We really haven't been up to too much since we got back from Spain.  We did buy a new kitchen table and we LOVE it.  Trying to sell our other one but no luck so far.  Our couples Bible study ended last week and we are having the dinner tonight, but since I'm sick I'm going to stay home :( boo.  But Cody is going to go so that will be fun for him.  It's been in the 30s here so I think the cold weather has arrived.

Our Spain trip was AMAZING!  We had no problems in our travels and just a minor set back at our hotel.  They gave us the wrong room.  We pair for a Sea View and they gave us a non sea view so we just had to go back to the lobby and get that fixed.  It was just what we needed to get away from Army life... We have been back a week now and I'm ready to have Spain life back!!!  I sent pictures to Lana and I think she will be passing them along to everyone.  Chloe did good in her weekend school (the kennel).  The lady said she was so impressed that Chloe came right to her when she was called to come inside (that makes me so happy)!  We have been so busy lately I haven't had time to do much of anything!  This week so far (yes I know it's only Monday) has been a little more calm.  I finally got the muster up to make a hair appointment.  I'm SO glad that I did.  My last few haircuts just got jacked up and this girls finally fixed it.  woohoo.  Colored, some highlights, and a great cut.  I was very pleased.  Cody has been dealing with some things that we are hoping work out.  As most of you know he is getting out of the Army so there is paperwork and annoying things that have to be dealt with.  He has his end of things done but his orders had already been given to go to Ft. Sill for schooling, so he is trying to call this guy today to get them deleted or cancelled so if that DOESNT happen we will be moving next month and if it DOES happen then we will continue to stay here and move in April/May of next year.  I can't pack this house up in less than a month ....lol  Plus that means that Cody will more than likely have to deploy again because it will add time onto his career.  We really need the orders to get cancelled and for him to get his papers signed to get out of the Army, so keep that in your prayers.  Chloe is doing great but she really misses being able to just be outside a run around on her own, we all miss home. 

This past weekend was a 4 day.  Cody didn't have to be so stressed this week which was great.  Friday Cody was showing a guy the car.  Saturday we mowed and cleaned and got ready for the BBQ we were having at our house on Sunday.  Sunday we went to church came home ate a quick bite for lunch and then prepared things for the BBQ.  Everyone started coming over around 4:30.  We had a great time.  We bought the meat in the big box and didn't put it out until after church to thaw, so we were have to put it in water and try to get it ready and because of that once Cody put them on the grill the smoke was CRAZY.  We always have our windows open in the house and there was so much smoke it went in the upstairs windows and set off our fire alarm...LOL  That was crazy.  So I had to go upstairs and fluff the alarm with a pillow and it eventually stopped...hahaha.  The food was great though and everyone brought something to contribute so it was even better.  Our close close friends stayed a bit longer than everyone else and we got some really cute/funny videos of their daughter.  It was WAY passed her bedtime and she was getting goofy.  Then on Monday we went to Amberg and ate lunch with friends and looked around at the shopping.  I got a scarf and some earring that were both on clearance and then the scarf was even more on sale one I checked out so I got a great deal ;).  The scarf and earrings ended up being 2 Euro which is like 5 bucks, woohoo.  Back to work for Cody yesterday and we finally were able to get with the guy who bought the car and get all that finalized with the registration office.  So the car is officially sold and we just have the Jeep now.  Cody drove that to work yesterday so Chloe and I took a walk to check the mail.  It's a bit of a walk but not to bad, but it was really hot yesterday so we ended up taking quite a few breaks ;)  I took water for both of us and it was all gone by the time we got back home.  It was good for both of us though :)  So far it's been a good week.  We miss you all and are ready to get back!  Cody has a job fair he is going to tomorrow.  They are coming to our Post and there could be up to maybe 50 companies there looking to hire so we are looking forward to that for him.  It would be nice if he could get hired on so we would have some sort of a plan.

It seems like we stay so busy but we are enjoying it for the most part.  Cody is still having issues at work but we are praying that this changes soon.  He's heard word on something and praying that happens.  I got "locked" out of the house yesterday.  I had my keys but the key wouldn't go in the key hole.  So I'm stuck outside the house with the Jeep full with groceries and no cell phone (I left it in the house).  So thankfully my neighbor's husband works with Cody (I don't know his number).  So she called her husband and he told Cody and so Cody was able to come home and let me in the house.  The business that fixes things was closed (they close at 4pm) so I called them this morning and they are going to come today to fix the door, thank goodness.  I can tell that I'm overwhelmed after all that happened because I started crying for the mire fact that I was sitting outside locked out...lol.  Now my task is to find a place for Chloe while we go on our Spain trip.  I called the "normal" kennel (she's been there one time) and they are closed until September 1 and we leave on the 2.  So I e-mailed the kennel and hopefully they will get back with me before then.  Otherwise I don't know, I looked up other kennels close by and they are closed like the 2 of Sep -  whatever so that is no help.  That is the only thing that is hard about having a dog here.  If it was up to me I would just take her everywhere with us but Cody doesn't want to do that.  So hoping and praying that this next month that some things end up working out for us and that we become more content in the situations that we are in.  :)  We miss you all and are ready to be back.

Well I haven't seen sun but maybe one time since we have been back in Germany.  We have August left and summer is basically over, I don't think I'm going to get much of a summer this year.  Thankfully all we have to do is make through this winter and then next summer we will be back in lovely Oklahoma, and of course there is summer there :)  This is Cody's first full week back to work so hopefully it goes well for him.  I've been non stop busy and it's been nice.  I like the fast pace much better than deployment life.  Cody is still working on getting his papers in, so that he can "officially" be getting out of the Army.  Hopefully he will get that done today.  Just waiting on Cody to get home from work now.  :)

Today is our first "normal" day since Cody has been back from deployment.  He is back to full work days and I'm back to a normal routine.  Although right at the moment I'm pretty hungry and Cody is still at work...  We really really really enjoyed our time at home!  We did NOT want to leave at all but of course we had to.  For some reason our hot water heater wasn't working, starting Saturday.  We have to call a company that works for the Army Post and they come and fix everything.  They weren't open over the weekend so cold showers...haha.  They came right away this morning when I called and everything is fixed now.  Cody got all of the "pre" cuts done on the shelf he is building me.  So I stained all that today and now excited for Cody to put it together!  He is so crafty!  I love it! SOOO HUNGRY! I have been working on laundry today to.. it's like a never ending pile.  I thought I was done and then went upstairs and picked up, the basket was re filled that fast.  I had all of the laundry from the trip and then our regular laundry so it is just a lot.  Chloe misses everyone and especially going and seeing the cows :).  She is getting back to schedule to.  We have all had jet lag and it's not getting any better yet.  It's mostly going good tho, it's nice we don't have much longer left tho :)

We have had another good few days.  It seems like nothing can make a day bad anymore, it's so great!  Today it is cloudy so it will be a mostly inside day.  Chloe is getting upset with us because I'm on the computer and Cody is playing XBOX.  She is so funny.  We've been renting movies lately and everyone that we have rented has just stunk.  We don't have a very good selection here but we love to watch movies, so we just pick some that we have never heard of and they aren't good, haha.  Cody has been working on some wood projects for me.  He is so creative and good!  He made me a little thing for our laundry room.  He created a little design from wood and then put dowel rods in it so I can hang up my brooms/mops.  It's PERFECT! He got wood yesterday at the store so that he can start his next project, which is a really nice shelf for the bathroom.  I'm super excited to see that done! YAY.  Next week I will start the "vacation" process.  Making a list and making sure that we have everything we need and slowly start packing!  Can't wait!!!!!!!!
